InSite took to the mountains for Snowbombing 2013 where we supported the Barclaycard Arctic Disco.
The Barclaycard Arctic Disco was an exclusive event with only 300 attendees each evening in the White Lounge igloo at the top of the Ahorn Mountain. With Kasabian as the artists one evening it was truly a very special event.
All Barclaycard Arctic Disco guests were issued with a PayBand by our Customer Service team when they checked into Snowbombing. The Paybands were then used at Access Control to scan people onto the cable cars for their lifts to the mountain-top and the amazing Barclaycard Arctic Disco.
Guests were able to link their PayBands to their Facebook accounts so, as they checked in their way to the Barclaycard Arctic Disco, they could automatically let their friends know that they were on their way to a great evening. Our roaming photographers were also around all evening at the top of the mountain capturing some brilliant snaps that guests could post to their walls with a mere tap of their PayBand.
Also at the top of the mountain, the Paybands could be used to buy drinks cashlessly at the two bars, useful when you don’t want to fumble with change when it’s minus 18! Meanwhile the bar owner could watch the sales receipts for each bar in real time, allowing him to see just how well the event was going.
You can see the InSIte Collections and Issuance, Access Control, Social Media Link-Up, Mobile Photobooth and Closed Loop Cashless Payments systems in use in the video below. What a magical event in a very special location!
