We were delighted to be at the launch of the Barclaycard Center Madrid and what a great evening it was in a marvellous space.
Guests at the launch had Barclaycard bPay bands which were read, as the guests entered, using the InSite Access Control system which allows guests to be greeted by name as well as providing useful real-time information for the hosts on how many guest are already on site, etc.
The Barclaycard bPay bands were also used by guests to check-in and collect items from the Cloakroom using the integrated InSite Cloakroom App. Being in Madrid we didn’t check many coats but as the weather was little unkind, (yes, we went to Madrid and it rained!), we did check lots of umbrellas, along with the usual bags, laptops, tablets, etc. The beauty of using a wristband as a check-in device is that the guest doesn’t need to keep track of a cloakroom ticket and if the guest forgets to collect their item, (it always happens), then the guest’s details can be looked up and the item re-united with its owner.
The InSite Competition App was also in use at the launch. Guests could tap their Barclaycard bPay band on the plinth-mounted tablet to see if they had won a prize. The application settings are easily re-configured to accommodate differing numbers of prizes and guests so that the prize distribution, although still random, is spread over the course of the event and ensuring all prizes are issued. This was a very useful feature as there were a number of late prizes added making many lucky guests on the evening.
We really enjoyed the launch and look forward to visiting the Barclaycard Center Madrid again.
