The weather could have been a little more spring like but other than that the 2012 Goodwood Horse Racing Season opened in fine style.
This year as well as the InSite Access system, controlling access into the site and its various zones, Goodwood have also started using the InSite Ticket Collection module. Real time synchronisation meant that as tickets were collected from one location all other locations were updated accordingly, preventing multiple collection attempts. The distributed deployment also meant that tickets could be collected from any gate and booth avoiding queues at a central collection point
The real time ticket cancellation facilities were also very useful not just for sorting out lost tickets but also in managing ticket touts.
