InSite was in action providing wristband issuance and access control for the hugely popular Google beach party at the Google Creative Sandbox at Cannes Lions 2014 when 1,500 people packed the beach for a live performance by Rudimental and an evening partying with Goldierocks.
This exclusive, invitation-only party is always oversubscribed so all guests were issued with a RFID wristband and as guests were scanned in with the InSite system its real-time on-site figures allowed close monitoring and control of the numbers on the beach, to ensure the safety and comfort of guests while allowing the maximum number of people to enjoy the party.
Michele and Lucy were lucky enough to spend the week in Cannes as the InSite Collection and Issue system was used to issue wristbands to invitees as they enjoyed the activities at the Google Sandbox during the days preceeding the party. The flexibility of the system came into its own as the team dashed around Cannes issuing wristbands to delegates at the numerous events Google hosted, including the executive dinner at the Sandbox on the Wednesday evening where Lucy and Michele greeted all the guests as they arrived, making sure all the VIPs had their wristbands for the following night’s party before directing them on to the drinks reception .
In the run-up to the party the InSite systems reporting showed its strength with instant reporting on which invitees had RSVPed and collected their wristbands and who had yet to do so, allowing the real-time guest list management so vital in such a popular event.
During the party evening the message alert facilities of the InSite Access system allowed VIP guests to be greeted by name as they arrived and members of the Google team to be informed that their special guests were on-site.
It was a great week culminating in a marvellous party on the Thursday evening. You can get a flavour of how brilliant the Google Sandbox at Cannes Lions is in the video below.
